Hello! My name is Jacqueline Mallais and I love words — big ones like serendipitous, little ones like giggle, scary ones like haunted and kind ones like gentle. I love when they stand in a perfect line in the dictionary and I love them when they get all mixed up in a book by Dr. Seuss. I love how they can make you happy, scared and brave all on one page. But most of all, I love sharing them and showing students how powerful they can be. The more words you know, the more interesting the world becomes. Some of my favourite words are in French, Italian and Spanish. I read words on signs, cereal boxes and shampoo bottles. But I really like reading them in stories or finding them in letters left in my mailbox.
