Fostering Academic Excellence, Inspiring Innovation, and Nurturing Lifelong Learners.
Our primary mission is to build a student-centered learning environment that inspires curiosity, fosters creative problem-solving, and cultivates well-rounded global citizens.
Aligned with the national 12-Year Basic Education Curriculum and the core philosophy of "Outstanding Jhong-shan Citizens, Soaring into the New Century," the Office of Academic Affairs is dedicated to bridging traditional academic rigor with future-ready skills. We oversee all aspects of curriculum planning, instructional quality, registration services, educational technology, and resource integration. Through our main divisions—Curriculum & Instruction, Registration & Records, Learning Equipment & Resources, and Information Technology—we work collaboratively to ensure every student receives adaptive, inspiring, and high-quality guidance.
Science and technology education has been a cornerstone of Jhong-shan’s academic identity for decades. Selected as one of Taiwan’s four original Science Experimentation Center Schools in 1961, Jhong-shan has maintained a strong heritage of scientific inquiry and empirical learning. Today, our science curriculum integrates hands-on experimentation, Maker education, and multidisciplinary STEM projects designed to challenge students' problem-solving abilities and logical thinking.
Our students active engage in prestigious regional and national competitions, consistently earning top honors in fields such as bionic robotics, PowerTech youth technology creation, and hand-thrown glider flight competitions. In addition, Jhong-shan actively participates in the Ministry of Science and Technology’s High-Scope Program in partnership with National Cheng Kung University and Tainan Girls' Senior High School. Through state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, multi-functional technology spaces, and a forward-thinking faculty team, we empower students to transform abstract scientific concepts into real-world innovations, preparing them to lead in an increasingly digital and automated future.

Our humanities curriculum seamlessly blends literary appreciation with campus aesthetics and local history. Unique physical spaces—such as the student-built "Treehouse," the picturesque "Heart Pond," and the "Taiwan Poetry Road" landmark—provide serene and inspiring corners for ecological learning, reflection, and creative writing. Through curated reading initiatives, digital-assisted subject reading programs, and cross-curricular literature projects, we guide students to develop strong reading habits, articulate expression, and deep humanistic grounding. By weaving literature and art into daily campus life, Jhong-shan nurtures reflective learners who appreciate aesthetic beauty and possess rich cultural literacy.
In response to global trends and the vision of nurturing competitive world citizens, Jhong-shan actively advances international education and bilingual learning opportunities. Our curriculum aims to enhance students' language proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while broadening their cultural horizons and intercultural competence.
We offer specialized English immersion environments, multi-functional language laboratories, and interactive bilingual courses supported by dedicated native English teachers and local faculty.
