CSE team won first place in the IntelliHack3 Competition Organized by IEEE CS UCSC - 2023
Mr. Wimukthi Indeewara Nimalsiri, Mr. Mahela Pradeep Hennayake and Mr. Kasun Rathnayake (Team NoobsAI), final year undergraduates of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa, was awarded as the winning team of INTELLIHACK3.0. “IntelliHack3.0” is organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of the University of Colombo School of Computing for the 3rd consecutive time in the year 2023. With the primary goal of introducing contestants to the concept of Machine Learning, or the use of artificial intelligence to create self-learning systems.
Our team, proposed a web based framework of medical report generation for Sri Lankan Medical Students. The proposed novel solution used deep learning technologies to generate accurate reports from chest x-ray images. They have addressed the explainability of the proposed solution and developed as a web based framework, that can be used by the practitioners and conducted a system usability study as well. This was based on their final year project supervised by Prof. D. Meedeniya and Dr. T. Ambegoda.
