Welcome
Optics & Photonics Research Group, BUBT
Welcome to the Optics & Photonics Research Group, BUBT. Our group is driven by the motto “Learn, Share, and Innovate”, emphasizing the importance of learning from experienced researchers and sharing knowledge among members to advance scientific understanding in the field of optics and photonics.
Our research focuses on a wide range of topics, including optical fiber–based plasmonic sensors, optical fiber communication, nonlinear optics, supercontinuum generation, metamaterial absorbers, and machine learning applications in photonics. We primarily perform computational modeling and numerical analysis of various optical properties using COMSOL Multiphysics.
We are actively working on multi-analyte plasmonic sensors, aiming to detect multiple analytes simultaneously and achieve a broad detection range. Additionally, we integrate machine learning algorithms to predict sensor performance based on input parameters.
Recently, our group has expanded its research interests to hollow-core optical fiber, metamaterial absorbers and perovskite solar cells, analyzing their unique optical characteristics and exploring innovative design possibilities.
