Research Presentation at ICCE 2024, Da Nang, Vietnam
I am delighted to share that the outcomes of our research project, funded by The Asahi Glass Foundation, Japan, have been accepted and presented at the ICCE 2024 International Conference, held in Da Nang, Vietnam.
The presented work is part of our proposal titled:
“Ultra-wide Range Photonic Crystal Fiber-based Surface Plasmonic Resonance Sensor Design and Analysis for Lab-on-Chip Application.”
During the conference, I had the opportunity to present our findings to an international audience and engage in insightful discussions with professors and researchers from various countries. These interactions provided valuable perspectives that will further enrich the future direction of our Optics & Photonics research activities.
This achievement marks an important milestone for our research group and reflects the continuous support and collaboration with our partners, including CRD-Lab, HUST, Vietnam.
The Optics & Photonics Research Group at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has been awarded a prestigious USD 5,000 research grant from The Asahi Glass Foundation, Japan, in collaboration with the CRD-Lab, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam.
The funded proposal, titled “Ultra-wide Range Photonic Crystal Fiber-based Surface Plasmonic Resonance Sensor Design and Analysis for Lab-on-Chip Application,” was conceptualized and written by Ruhul Amin, who also led the scientific direction of the project. Although the Foundation allocates this grant exclusively to Vietnamese institutions, CRD-Lab, HUST submitted the proposal on behalf of the Optics & Photonics Research Group, BUBT, enabling this meaningful international collaboration.
The project, funded under FY 2024–2025, aims to develop an innovative Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF)-based Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) sensor with ultra-wide detection range, tailored for next-generation lab-on-chip applications.
The outcomes of this research were presented by Ruhul Amin at the ICCE 2024 International Conference, held in Da Nang, Vietnam, showcasing the group's contributions to advanced optical sensing technologies.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for BUBT’s Optics & Photonics Research Group, highlighting its growing international presence and research excellence in photonic sensing and plasmonic device design.
