VIRTUAL Learning

Clairemont Elementary

A CENTRAL HUB FOR HELPFUL RESOURCES AS WE BEGIN A JOURNEY OF TRANSITIONING TO A VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

We're so appreciative of the way our community has come together during this time of uncertainty (and growth). This is the time to extend our hands, widen our circle of compassion, show our resilience, and prove that it truly does take a village and a crew to make magic happen- even if it's virtual.

IMPORTANT UPDATES AT Clairemont

CSD Update

The governor announced an executive order April 1 declaring that schools will remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of this school year. Remote learning will continue through the closure.

Principals, teachers, nutrition staff, custodians, support staff, and myriad others have humbled and inspired us with their hard work and innovation. This community could not ask for a better team to see us through these challenging times. If you’ve had a teacher, principal, or other CSD staff member make a positive impact on you or your family, please take a moment to let them know. Not sure whom to send that message to? Tell Courtney Burnett at cburnett@csdecatur.net.

Now that we have completed a few days of the enhanced remote learning, we have a better understanding of what is working and what is not working; we are considering possible adjustments. District leaders are continuing to review the next steps regarding several other high-priority topics such as graduation, grading, and awarding course credit.

This is an unusual and disconcerting time for everyone. Our community’s mental health remains a top priority for CSD. Balancing work, family, and school is not easy for anyone; now, more than ever, we must continue to support each other.

Finally, we would also like to express our gratitude to all CSD families for doing your best to carve out time and space to support your children’s learning. We thank you for your flexibility and patience. We are in this with you, and we will all get through this together.
