OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PERFORMANCES, TECH, AND SPACE:
Please note: Due to Tooele School District regulations, Fog and Smoke machines cannot be used during performances, unless they are dry ice fog machines.
The Loading dock for the auditorium is on the west side of the building. We will block parking spots, so you can easily load in there. Load ins will have to happen between shows because our loading dock door is quite loud. Please drop students off at the main doors as all other doors will be locked. Your buses can then park on the East side of the building in the circle by the rock.
You can play sound effects through the sound board with an aux cord, (please provide your own dongle, if needed!) The light board is an ETC Connect 2 and provides color washes across the stage except at the very front of the apron. Glen Carpenter, and his Tech President will be available 15 min prior to the start of each one act to assist schools in familiarizing themselves with the light and sound board.
The stage is about 37 feet deep from the curtain line and 50ish feet wide. The apron itself is 10 feet deep at is greatest point that can be lit. We’re hoping that for most, if not all, one acts the front of stage to mid-traveler is enough space to perform. This would allow for easier setup backstage and transition between groups. If you feel your group necessitates the use of the whole stage, please let us know.
Feedback will occur in a designated area on house right after each performance. There are dressing rooms and the drama room that the school "on deck" can utilize prior to performance to change and warm-up if you don’t get too loud.
There are vending machines by the cafeteria for snacks and water. We ask that the students and any audience members stay in the auditorium area and refrain from wandering in other areas. There are bathrooms and drinking fountains very close to the theatre. When you enter through the main doors of Stansbury High School. The auditorium will be to the left and The Drama Room is in the last hallway on the left at the north end of the building. We will also have signs and volunteers to assist.
Please remind students and patrons that the content for one acts can vary and may not be suitable for all audience members. There will be signs posted reminding theatre goers that content may vary. The Meet Director will announce content warnings for each play as needed.
