For the 2021-2022 school year, all students will attend school in-person. An e-learning option will not be offered, but may be provided to students temporarily in the event of a positive diagnosis or close contact with a positive case.
All students are expected to attend school daily and follow the CSD17 Return to School Plan. The school calendar can be found at www.csd17.org.
School hours are as follows: TRS/CJHS: 7:50-2:35; NBG/PP: 8:20-3:10
Parents & guardians will be required to certify that children are COVID-19 symptom free, have a temperature below 100.4, and are not a close contact to a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case each day before school. By allowing your child to attend school each day, you are certifying that they have been screened before school.
Please note: symptomatic students who do not have a doctor's note with an alternative diagnosis will be sent home immediately - please do not send ill children to school
Transportation will provided: only one stop for pick-up and drop-off will be permitted.
Students who are advised by their physician to receive home/hospital instruction due to a medical condition will be provided a 'Medical Certification Form'. This form must be completed by your child's physician. These students may receive instruction at-home or another location by a certified teacher after the regular school day.
LEARNING DURING QUARANTINE:
Students who experience a Covid-19 infection as well as those considered a close contact will be required to quarantine. Vaccine status will not be requested; however, students who provide medical documentation with evidence of vaccination or prior infection within 90 days will not be required to quarantine if considered a close contact.
During this time, students will be provided with remote instruction by a designated classroom teacher. Their own classroom teacher will still be responsible for assigning and grading work.
