The CamPAL laboratories, located in the English Faculty Building at the University of Cambridge, provide state-of-the-art facilities for linguistic and psycholinguistic research. The lab is used by staff members and students in the department, as well as collaborators all over the world. If you want to use the lab, please first read the Lab Use Protocol and follow the guidelines.

There are two rooms in the CamPAL laboratory with EEG and eye-tracking machines, and all PCs in the lab are equipped with experimental software for stimulus presentation (E-prime, Superlab, Experiment Builder, Psychopy, MATLAB) and data analysis (Python, R, MATLAB, Data Viewer). There is an independent phonetics lab well equipped for making recordings and running speech perception experiments, with a network of brand new Windows PC computers with specialist speech analysis, audio editing and statistical analysis software including Praat, Audacity, SPSS, Matlab and R Studio.
