About: Hi everyone! I'm a 3rd year PhD student in the PLSE lab. I do research related to equality saturation, compilers, and verification. I grew up outside Boston and did my undergrad in CS at Brown. I moved to Seattle the summer of 2017 and spent five years as a software engineer before starting my PhD. If you're interested in industry or the differences between grad school and industry, feel free to reach out! In my free time, I like hiking/backpacking, biking, and knitting/crocheting. This is my first time teaching 341 and I'm super excited to spend the quarter working through the material with everyone!

About: Howdy! I'm a professor in the PLSE group here at the Allen School. I work with students doing research in compilers, hardware design, term rewriting, knitting, floating point and more. I did my BS degrees in CS and Math at Purdue back in 2007 and my PhD at UC San Diego in 2013 where I learned about the best burritos in the world! Outside of the lab, I help organize the Race Condition Running club, try to practice mindfulness, listen to a lot of Elder, avidly follow Blondihacks, and love reading Greg Egan books. This is my first time teaching 341 since Prof. Wilcox's big revamp and I am SUPER STOKED to work through all these amazing topics together :D
