The TANBO IoT project, established in 2022 by Kumamoto University students, is dedicated to supporting local farmers in Kumamoto by improving crop cultivation, particularly in paddy fields. The project was initially spearheaded by three master's students, under the guidance of the assistant professor from the lab. As time has passed, the project has seen an influx of new students who share a deep interest in agriculture, expanding its reach.
While the project may not be without its imperfections at the moment, the team is eager to welcome more skilled individuals to join their ranks and collaborate on perfecting the system. The ultimate goal is to create a flawlessly functioning system that eases the agricultural challenges faced by farmers and contributes to positive change in the agricultural sector.
Our IoT project is designed to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Assists in addressing food insecurity in Kumamoto.
Contributes to rice consumption and production improvement.
Collaborate with farmers to reach the objective.
