Learning Intention: Today we are learning about elliptical editing and insert shots.
Success Criteria: We can create a short film sequence that uses elliptical editing and insert shots.
Watch the following video on Elliptical Editing. Write a definition of the term in your notebook.
2. Watch this video and write a definition of Insert Shot in your book.
3. Borrow a camera from the library and using the following prompts create a sequence of 6 shots that use elliptical editing and insert shots to show:
Choosing a book from the library
Arriving at school and greeting a friend and preparing for class.
Arriving at the computer lab and logging on to Compass.
Before shooting you will need to do a brief storyboard using the below sheet (shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes). Once it has been approved by your teacher. Then go shoot your sequence.
4. Show your teacher your 6 shots in sequence.
