Learning Intention: Today we are learning about the requirements of the first Key Assessment Task.
Success Criteria: We will know we’ve been successful when we can have a list of possible story ideas for our first Key Assessment Task.
1. Read through the below task sheet and rubric.
2. Open this link and create a copy of the Google Doc. Share it with me. This will be what you will fill in to complete the KAT. Your storyboards will be handed in separately.
The work you do for this KAT will be the starting point for the films you will make for the rest of the semester. Once finished KAT #1 you will get in groups of no more than 4 and choose one of the scripts you've written to shoot and edit into a final film (Which will make up parts of KAT #2 and 3).
An example of a final film can be viewed below.
3. Take a moment to brainstorm possibilities for the major parts of your story. Make a mindmap that includes bubbles for the major parts of a narrative short film (See below).
4. Now, using what you have learned so far in the unit, start to fill out your Google Doc. Then when completed write out your screenplay.
