15 National Ministries that use the system
7 National ministries in different stages of development (two big ministries are expected to go live this fall)
4 new ministries have started the process and are considering their options.
Update May 1, 2025
We're making strides with the Make Giving Easy (MGE) donation platform! The Philippines, Indonesia, and Moldova are almost ready to go live.
Progress continues in other countries, including customized improvements and integration with our global financial system. Development is underway in Australia, with potential for New Zealand, Italy, Poland, Romania, and Ethiopia next in line. Ghana has also expressed interest.
MGE is currently live in the UK and France with two installations for their different legal entities, Bulgaria, Hungary, Mexico, Kenya, India, France, and Ireland.
The following countries are in development: DRC, Latvia, Guatemala, Colombia, and Trinidad and Tobago. Benin is updating its system for the MGE implementation.
Additionally, all six countries in the Global Blocker project plan to adopt the MGE system for their local donation portals.

Update August 1, 2025
Here is a quick overview of the progress being made in several key countries to unblock ministry growth:
Fiji: We are just a few steps away from signing a contract with a local company to provide an online payment solution.
Armenia: We are in contact with local banks to clarify the legal and technical requirements for our local entity to receive donations.
Gambia: We are communicating with local companies and the ministry's bank to understand their requirements for creating a new donation system.
Gabon: Progress has been slow. The ministry team is very small and currently overwhelmed with handling all ministry tasks simultaneously.
Nicaragua: We are waiting to hear back from the local bank after some legal issues in the country were resolved.
Curaçao: We have established contact with the local bank and have already created a platform for them. We are now waiting for the contract to be signed to begin implementation.
Update May 1, 2025
Quick Project Update:
Good progress is being made in several key countries to unblock ministry growth: Fiji, Armenia, Gambia, Gabon, and Nicaragua are showing positive momentum. Progress in Curaçao has been slower, but we're aiming to catch up.
Specifically:
Fiji: Identified potential online donation payment gateways; still exploring business account options.
Armenia: Identified their main online payment provider and are investigating integration with our existing donation platform.
Gambia & Ghana: Communication with national teams is positive, though progress is gradual.
Nicaragua: Currently assessing available options; awaiting feedback from the national team.
Overview
The Global Blocker Ministry Growth Project has a goal to evaluate and support small national ministries with fewer than 25 staff by identifying and implementing sustainable solutions for their ministry growth. There are a total of 12 different working task forces focusing on different areas of the ministry. Our team is dedicated to working and providing solutions for the National Ministry in the area of receiving local donations. Addressing this issue, we are helping them set up for long-term growth.
Current Status
Initially, we engaged with ministries in ten countries. However, two ministries opted out during the first phase due to capacity constraints. Despite this, eight ministries continued with the pilot project. As of now, six national ministries remain actively committed to developing a suitable solution for local giving. The participating countries include:
Fiji
Armenia
Nicaragua
Curaçao
Gabon
Gambia
Additionally, there is a possibility of expanding our collaboration to include Namibia in the near future.
Team and Collaboration
Our project team consists of eight members from Kenya, Ivory Coast, Benin, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, and Canada. We are working with the ministries to assess their needs and guide them toward effective solutions. While online giving could be one method to facilitate local giving, we recognize that not all countries have the necessary infrastructure for this approach. Some ministries are utilizing fund transfers from phone-to-phone accounts or mobile wallets. We are working closely with them to determine the most feasible and impactful solutions tailored to their specific circumstances.
Project Goals and Timeline
The primary goal of this project is to finalize and implement viable local giving solutions before the end of this calendar year. Over the coming months, our team will:
Work individually with each country to evaluate their unique situations.
Develop customized strategies for local donation systems.
Provide guidance and support to ensure effective implementation.
We believe that enabling local giving will strengthen national ministries by providing them with the necessary resources to grow and sustain their efforts. This initiative will reduce dependency on external funding, ultimately fostering more resilient and self-sufficient ministries.
We appreciate the commitment of our participating ministries and look forward to achieving meaningful progress in the coming months.
The GOLD++ project officially concluded in February 2025. Our Global PD Team will continue to explore opportunities throughout the year to implement the lessons learned and the outcomes of the Learning Action Project proposal. This includes exploring an opportunity to expand national partner networks by leveraging the launch of the animated story of Jesus in their country.
The GOLD ++ Leadership Development project was a year-long initiative focused on equipping senior ministry staff with the tools and skills necessary for personal ministry growth, leadership potential, and spiritual development.
As part of this effort, I coached two Partner Development Leaders—one from Namestan and another from Europe. Together, we worked to strengthen leadership capabilities, fostering a culture where leaders not only grow personally but also mentor and develop those they work with.
A key milestone this past year was the creation of a strategic proposal for utilizing the upcoming Animated Story of Jesus. Our goal is to ensure that this resource is not just used for short-term evangelistic campaigns but also integrated as a sustainable, long-term ministry tool. We have been developing a comprehensive strategy to maximize the film’s impact by engaging national ministries and local partners, helping them embed it into their ongoing ministry efforts.
While the entire project serves as an evangelistic tool, our Partner Development Team is also focused on using this opportunity to engage more local financial partners. This initiative encourages them to take a step of faith in giving, fostering not only financial commitment but also a sense of local and moral ownership over the project. By investing in this effort, local partners will play a crucial role in spreading the gospel in their countries and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the ministry.
The proposal was successfully presented to the Global Jesus Film Ministry Leader and Global Partner Development Leader, and we are now refining it based on their feedback. Looking ahead, our Partner Development Team will continue shaping and developing this strategy to ensure that when the film launches, ministries are fully equipped to use it as a tool for local church growth, deepened community involvement, and long-term ministry sustainability.
We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to seeing how this initiative will further equip and empower ministry leaders worldwide.
