Join us for two book studies! A Grander Story and The Six Conversations. The books will be provided for you!
A Grander Story - An Invitation to Christian Professors both inspires and equips Christian faculty to think differently about their lives and work. Whether serving at institutions, public or private, research or teaching-as tenure-line professors, adjuncts, lecturers, or visiting scholars, our hope is that God will use this book to encourage each professor in his or her calling and help usher in the day when movements of Christ-following professors on every campus will be used by God to bless those around them and the world.
Conversation is getting harder. Loneliness is on the rise. The Six Conversations: Pathways to Connecting Again in an Age of Isolation and Incivility reflects Dr. Heather Holleman’s passion to help people build authentic, loving community.
She addresses questions like:
How can I foster meaningful connections?
Why don’t people ask deeper questions?
How can I grow as a conversationalist to create real connections?
Heather invites us to reimagine conversations by adopting Four Mindsets of a Loving Conversation and pursuing Three Fresh Goals. With research-based insights, practical skills, and actionable questions, The Six Conversations equips readers to connect more deeply, whether with family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors.
If you long for richer, more joyful relationships, this book will show you how.
In Faculty Commons, we understand the immense challenges you face as you seek to thrive and be an agent of change in today’s academic world. We are here to help you find the community, encouragement, and resources you need. Come write your chapter in God’s grander story.
Faculty Commons strives for the day when: Every campus has a movement of Christian professors and graduate students who desire to make Christ known to their colleagues and students and throughout the world. Every student has the opportunity to interact with professors and grad students who follow Christ and point students and colleagues to Him. Every academic discipline has a movement of Christian scholars, so Christian perspectives are heard throughout academia and the world.
