This year we have been gifted with a unique opportunity to do outreach in our community. It provides depth and opportunity to reconnect with people even after the conference has ended. It is specifically designed for the context that you are involved with as there is flexibility to decide what works best for your context.
There are several steps you may take in prayerfully plan your outreach:
Decide what is your context and set goals for outreach. This helps you to create a vision to trust God with.
Decide how you want to reach out to the community in a way that fits your context. Consider ways to meet the people around you and spread the gospel to them. For example do you want to serve at a local Food Pantry or would you like to talk to people at a neighborhood park.
Invite others to join. Think about who can you ask to join you in this initiative?
Decide how you will include students to reach students.
Collect Information
Volunteer Together
Volunteert together and invite friends to join. Grab lunch together and do snapshot cards. Snapshot cards use pictures as a discussion tool to hear more about a persons life and faith. You can learn more about the cards HERE.
Random Acts of Kindness
Visit a local park and pass out $5 gift cards to the people you meet. Ask how you can pray for them and pray with the people you meet.
Share with us what the Lord has done! At the end of the retreat we will reach out to you to hear your stories! Be sure to tag us with our IG Handle, @crunychs using the hashtag #NYCFASTBREAK2021
