The adventure began when the Lord brought us as college students from California (Lori) and Vermont (Keith) to Prague, Czechoslovakia on a summer mission trip in 1990. Two years later, we were married and determined to go where the need was great and the workers were few. Our hearts were inflamed with the desire to follow Jesus’ words: “Go and make disciples of all nations,” Matthew 28:19 The Lord led us to reach college students first in Uzbekistan in 1997 and then in 2002 we moved to Moscow, Russia to reach the 1 million college students in the city. Along the way our family grew with three wonderful 'third culture kids' who are now at home anywhere in the world!
In 2014 with a family of 5 and sensing the Lord leading us to something new, we left Russia after 12 years and moved to Budapest, Hungary. Our focus shifted to equipping our national leaders who had been raised up over the years of ministry in Central and Eastern Europe, comprising 19 countries. The biggest need was to help our 650+ missionaries transition to being led by leaders from their own country with a strong biblical foundation and practical leadership skills emphasizing a leader who serves.
