A Thousand Women Campaign

To give purpose to the lives of 1,000 Houston teens...

the Middle school and High school ministry of Cru in Houston

Mission of the project

Your generosity will provide 1,000 Houston teens

a place to belong, to share their story, to grow, and to lead...

(We are seeking 1000 Women who will give $100 to reach 1000 Houston teens in 2 years.)

Finances will meet the needs in Houston in the following areas:

On Campus

On campus, gatherings create a safe space for students to belong. We provide students with a place where they are fed, encouraged, and mentored.

Small Groups

Small groups are safe places where teenagers can be themselves and build a network of diverse friendships—a place for each to share their story and hear others.

Conferences/Mission

FastBreak and Getaway, our annual conferences, provide opportunities for students to grow in their leadership and faith journey. We provide scholarship money for students and volunteers to attend each conference.

Plus, the mission project is a chance for teens to go overseas to share their faith with other teenagers.

Leadership

People learn by doing. We believe the best way for teenagers and volunteers to grow in responsibility is to give them responsibility.

From leading after-school club times or gatherings to planning outreaches and service projects, we give teenagers leadership in safe situations where they can try, fail, and try again.

Apprentice Program

We hire college students or community leaders willing to lead, train, and mentor other teens on campus or in small group settings.

Other Resources

We provide coaching, training, resources, and leadership to youth leaders, coaches, teachers, or parents who want to serve teens in their immediate scope.
