Introduction
Dear Friend,
Imagine yourself on the road. Day after day, you take thousands of steps forward to your destination.
You are sure where you aim to arrive. You don’t know the day; you only follow the Way. Your journey is full of wonders, yet not easy. Perils and obstacles meet you at every corner. It is a risky endeavor. Behind you and in front of you are many other travelers. The sound of their feet helps you not go astray. You are never alone. The Holy Wind, His Breath, the Holy Respiration of God is permanently in you. So, you keep walking. Further and closer, to your Father’s house, where Jesus is preparing a place for you.
Welcome to the Global Prayer Initiative!
Thank you for accepting the invitation to join thousands of believers worldwide to go deeper into communion with God and grow together into a vigorous army of intercessors for the world. As we journey together we aim for nothing less than strengthened faith, unwavering commitment to Christ, inflamed passion, assurance of being loved by God, lasting peace, victory over sin and death, abundant joy, and courageous witness.
The Gospel of John will be our focus for the next 21 days, one chapter at a time.
We will carefully explore his words, discovering all we can about Jesus.
We will dig deeper to understand the signs and miracles that could be performed only by the Son of God, the One Who came from above.
We will meditate on the metaphors John used in his Gospel – Logos, the Light of the world, the Living Water, the Bread of life, the Door, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and Life, the Way, the True Vine, the Only-begotten of the Father. Jesus. We will learn from John, who called himself “the disciple whom Jesus loved” how he came to lean against Jesus’ chest at the Last Supper, so close and free. How he absorbed and remembered His teachings. How he learned to follow his Master. How he endured till the end.
We will fast on some days so we can feast on God. Skip a meal, take a full day of fasting, or choose several days during these three weeks to refrain from food to focus on the Lord.
As our souls saturate with the Word, we will also pray. We will intercede for the world with strength, faith, and hope. We encourage you to gather once a week in your families, teams, small groups, or churches to spur each other and to believe in God for His miracles. Pray together for transformation, breakthroughs, awakening, and revival.
“If my people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16
