This year, Blue & White Night will be benefiting the district charity, American Red Cross.
Rock Relay
Each teammate acts as one of the six legs of the relay:
Potato sack jump for 10 yards
Bounce on hippity hoppity ball for 10 yards
Gallop on a hobby horse for 10 yards
Complete a 12-piece puzzle
25-yard walk balancing golf ball on spoon in a dino costume. If the student drops the ball, they must stop where it fell and replace the ball before continuing.
Dizzy bat (spin around bat 10 times) then aiming to throw a frisbee thru the goal post from the 10 yard line
Each student must high-five the student in front of them in order for that student to begin. If a highfive does not occur the student will have to come back to where they are to begin and get a high five
Drain-O
Six buckets are lined up in a triangle shape. 1 person will be designated as the rebounder. This person is in charge of getting the balls back to students shooting. The rebounder may not touch the ball until it touches the ground or lands into a bucket and students shooting are to stay behind the designated line. The remaining 5 students are the shooters- each person gets a shot and rotates to the back of the line-each time a ball gets in the bucket and stays in the bucket it will be removed by SEB members. The first team to eliminate all buckets wins. Two balls per team.
Tire Pull
There are a total of 5 heats for each gender per grade level. Each heat, there is one tire placed at a halfway point on the field while 8 opponents lie down on marks on either side. For every tire there are two competitors per grade level (4 total per heat), each with a goal of bringing the tire back to their designated side. Each player will be assigned a number. We’ll call two numbers at a time. The players assigned those two numbers will get up from off the ground, run to the tire, grab on to it, and try to pull the tire past a line on their team’s side. The team who wins the best-of-5 wins the point.
Tug of War
This even is broken down into boys vs boys, girls vs girl, and if needed for a tie breaker, coed. When told to go, the team that pulls the flag located in the middle of the rope, onto their side wins.
4 Corners
Three coed teams are formed, each having two boys and two girls. Three (3) groups total. All players sit on chairs sideways and lay back on each other's laps while supporting the other person with their legs and backs to form a square shape. The chairs are taken away and they must support each other for as long as they can. Whichever team is the last standing wins. If at the 10-minute mark, there are an equal number of teams standing, the next group to drop loses.
Musical Chairs
Chairs are set up back to back with 2 chairs facing outwards on both ends. There is 1 more player than there are chairs. Once music starts, students walk around clockwise, once stopped, students quickly try to sit in one chair. The player who isn't able to sit is out, and after that round one chair is taken away. This process goes on until there are two standing players left. The groups of players are mixed in each round with sophomore/freshman, junior/senior and the last standing player who sits in the chair wins for their grade. The judges will have final say as to who is ‘out.’
Officer Bucket Fillers
Students will each be given a cup and line up behind each other facing a bucket full of water. Students will then blindly pour the water over their heads from one cup to another to reach the empty milk jug at the back of the line. The last person in line is permitted to look back to fill the jug while everyone else has to remain facing forward (may NOT turn to pour). The process continues until the milk jug is full (overflows).
Human Spelling Bee
40 students from each grade will gather together according to grade and will be given a word ranging 3-6 letters. Once the word is given to the team, they will be required to form the letters to the word using their bodies. Every team member must lay down and be included in the word. Once the team feels as though they have accurately formed the word, they will stay in their positions to await judgment. The team who wins the best two out of three sets will win this challenge.
Dumpster Dive
One round at a time, an item will be announced over the speakers and one student from each side will run to the kiddie pool and search for said item. There will be many random items in the kiddie pools that the students will be required to search through. Students are not allowed to be chucking items out of the pool to get a clearer view. All items must stay inside the pool and students are not allowed to grab more than one item at a time. Once a student retrieves the designated item they must place it in the bucket adjacent to their kiddie pool.
