Construction

Construction I: This course covers the use of basic measuring tools, layout, and the fundamentals of construction with an emphasis on the correct and safe use of tools and machines. Students will explore the construction industry from the architect’s drawings and surveying building sites to the finishing procedures on a structure. Framing and finish carpentry, drywall, electrical, and plumbing will be studied. Students will participate in construction projects and activities.

Construction II: This course explores the more detailed concepts of the construction industry from the architect’s drawings and surveying building sites to the finishing procedures on a structure. Students will design, estimate and build construction projects and activities. Framing and finish carpentry, plumbing, estimating, and electrical will be studied.
