WEEK 2 - ACT 2 - Part 1: The Factory!
In addition to the weekly Padlet and Flipgrid discussions participants should chose 1-2 activities from the list below to submit for the week. Each week educators will select a handful of submissions to be featured in the showcase section of this site. Performance pieces can be submitted for entry into the RUR Scholarship by emailing to Shenderson@ncsml.org
Use google tools as much as possible when creating your entries as it will be easy to submit them in the form to the right. Save your work in your google drive and then link your doc using the form.
WRITE
After learning more about the factory in act 2 - part 1 write a short story about the manufacturing process at RUR. Be creative, use good writing skills, and be sure to include a beginning, middle, and end to your story.
CREATE
Participate in our creative social media challenge. To join the fun, grab some recycled materials and make your own robot! Post a picture or video of your robot on a social media platform of your choosing and tag us. Don't forget to use the hashtag #NCSMLbots! Please submit your photo for submission above also so we can see it.
PERFORM
Select a powerful or intriguing selection from act 2-part 1. Record yourself performing the monolog. Or get a friend involved virtually and use some video editing to perform a duet or trio. Be creative and have fun.
RESEARCH
Investigate a manufacturing company in your area that utilizes robotics and automation in its process. How are they like RUR? How are they not? Write a brief report of your findings. Be sure to use multiple sources of information and be sure to cite them in your report.

Draw a picture from a scene in act 1. Add color, a title, and a caption to help us know the setting of the scene.
