January 2021 - State Qualifying Standards - The times listed below are the regular-season state qualifying time standards for the 2021 swimming and diving season. Times were determined by taking the 16th place (last scoring) times from the last five state meets. The average time from the last five meets is the qualifying standard for the 2021 season.

Qualifying for State usually happens at the Regional meet. The top 32 times/scores in each event qualify for State. The top 16 in each individual event and all 32 relays will compete in Finals.

Highlights - Nat placed 2nd in diving; Zoey competed in her first 11-dive meet; Emma had time drops in 4/4 events; Addi placed 3rd in 100 free and 2nd in 100 breast; Olivia placed 1st in 100 back; Madi placed 3rd in 100 back; Lauren forgot to put her goggles on before her 200 free relay swim but still had a great time; Ayumi, Gracie, and Lauren competed in their first "big" meet and did GREAT; the divers gave the swimmers a great head start scoring 22 points and putting us in 3rd place, then the swimmers rocked every event and secured 2nd place; we celebrated with ice cream after the meet!

Highlights - Nat got 3rd place out of 28 divers!

Highlights - Nat placed 4th in diving, LOTS of solid swims - may not have been time drops but they were close, Emma dropped another 4 seconds in 500 free, Olivia and Lauren each dropped over 1 second in their 100 free leg of the 400 free relay

Highlights - Zoey had a season-best 11-dive meet score, Lauren dropped time in 3/4 events, Olivia dropped time in 2/4 events, Ayumi competed in the 200 IM for the first time and ROCKED it, Charlie dropped 10 seconds in the 500 free and is starting to get the feel of her new favorite event, the following girls will be "ringing the gong" on Monday to celebrate goals they have met: Lauren, Fry, Josie, Ava, and Ayumi

Nat 466.10 (2nd place) & Zoey 315.20 (7th place)
Highlights - Nat & Zoey both had personal best scores, the swimmers diligently watched every dive while they were resting in their taper workout, Nat was about 2 points off the school record and qualified for State next weekend and is ranked 3rd!

Highlights - EVERYONE scored points at the meet! 200 Medley Relay (Olivia, Addi, Josie, Laney), 400 Free Relay (Laney, Madi, Olivia, Addi), and 100 breast (Addi) qualified for State!! Relays are ranked 32nd and Addi is ranked 29th!!
