A free student-led competition that aims to spread collaborative thinking and mathematical joy to local middle schoolers. We design problems to challenge thinking and encourage creativity. We hope to introduce the spirit of play to all participants.
The competition has two parts:
The Puzzle round, in which students work with their teams to answer questions involving reasoning, logic, geometry, and probability.
The Individual round, in which students solve geometry, pre-algebra, and counting problems.
Please see Format for more details. Team and individual awards will be given to the top 3 in each section. Please see the Schedule for more detailed information.
Teams of three to five can register with a chaperone. Individuals can also register and be teamed with other individuals in the puzzle round.
The event is free for all students!
