This slide show provides the slides presented in November 2003 by 10,000 Degrees as part of our annual financial aid night offered each fall.
The FAFSA opens each year on October 1 for the following school year. The California Priority deadline is 3/2.

The California Dream Act Application allows certain students who meet the requirements below to apply for and receive state financial aid at California public and private colleges and private scholarships administered by California public colleges.
Opens 10/1. Deadline is 3/3/25.
If you filed your FAFSA or CADAA, your next step is to create your Webgrants for Students account.
This account checks your eligibility for a Calgrant award. After you set up the account, you will need to verify your school.
Creating an FSA ID is the first step for a student and their parent before they can complete the FAFSA application.
The new FAFSA allows parents without a social security number to create an FSA ID so they can complete their contributor information for their student. This video outlines this process.
Miss our Financial Aid Nights or just prefer to do this on your own? These slides provide essential information and tips on successfully completing your FAFSA on your own! But always feel free to reach out if you get started and need some help along the way!
