On this page, the presentations and feedback received by Serpentine Sets is laid out and discussed. The items on this page were the final evaluation of this project, and helped us when revising elements K and L. The presentations gave us a chance to solidify our familiarity with our project and to be able to answer all questions regarding it.
The day before the presentation to industry professionals, we presented to classmates during school hours. This showcase was used to prepare us to present to professionals and get us fully familiar with the information we wanted to convey in the time span we were allotted to our presentation. Our group was located near the back of the school outside Mr. Aftab's classroom. There was still quite a bit of traffic seeing as we were near the intersection of a lot of classroom exits, but it was less busy than projects nearer the front/center of the school.
We presented to industry professionals and previous students who were able to give feedback relating to industry experience and processes. This feedback was useful for students to understand the faults of their project and presentation, and get real world understanding around their school project. We were in the center walkway near the front. This meant we were one of the first groups to be seen, and got a lot of traffic.
Advisory Presentation Feedback and Response:
Showcase Feedback Summary and Response: We had scores ranging from 70-97%. Our mean score was 81.8% with an SD of 0.1169 which shows large amounts of variation. If we had more evaluators our scores could have been more clustered. We scored low on the testing procedures as we didn't thoroughly test or get an expert. We also got feedback stating we needed to be more clear with how we planned to solve the long term of our problem statement. Next time we will state on the poster our future plans along with putting more research on the poster. We will also get the advice of a professional for testing and have someone review our creation.
In conclusion, the feedback we received from our evaluators helped us understand the areas in which our project and process was weak. It also gave us areas to think about when reflecting on what we would do differently in the future.
