By: Ms. McKenzie's Grade 3 class

The grade 3's did this project as a conclusion to their study of global heroes. The grade 3 students learned about being good global citizens, they looked at a number of heroes including Gandhi, Malala, Greta Thunberg, Mother Theresa, and a few others. They learned that global citizens are passionate, peaceful, inspiring, and educated people that feel strongly about an issue. Students and found someone they thought demonstrated these characteristics and researched them.

Osprey Nest's

They are made by Ms. Barker's K/1 class during At Home Learning. They observed the osprey cam in Exshaw, Alberta and then recreated the nests with plasticine (from inside), grass, and sticks (from outside)

You can watch these ospreys on the live link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDSjmpIicpk

The Trees

By a grade 4 student

Norway~ The student named it Norway because it's the Northern Lights in Norway. She used acrylic paint and a used picture canvas. Picture canvas is where you take the photo and then print it onto the canvas. She used these because there were extra's of them.

Tree's~ This piece of stunning artwork is called the trees is because it looks like you're in the trees. She did this by using acrylic paint and many sizes of tape. She first took the tape and then put it onto the canvas where she wanted the trees to be, then she painted around them with purple, green, and blue all mixed together. Then she waited for it to dry, then you carefully peel the tape off, and then we get to see the beautiful masterpiece above.
