School Choice
The Croydon School District offers school choice to students and families in grades 5-12. Croydon students currently attend several area schools including:
Newport School District- SAU 43
Sunapee School District- SAU 85
Claremont School District- SAU 6
Lebanon School District- SAU 88
Each year families are required to fill out a Residency Verification Form and provide documentation as proof of Croydon residence annually. Croydon School District pays tuition to the school of choice up to the approved tuition amount each year. Families are financially responsible for any tuition above the approved amount.
FAQ
Q: Does my child have school choice if one parent lives in Croydon and the other does not?
A: Yes, only if legal documentation/parenting plan is provided to Croydon School District stating the child lives with the parent who lives in Croydon.
Q: Do families have school choice before grade 5?
A: No. Croydon Village School provides a high quality education to students in grades K-4.
Q: Can my child attend a school that is not listed above?
A: Yes. Families can request to register at another school pending an agreement with the Croydon School District. (up to the approved tuition amount)
