Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Career Description: I will be providing care to children from birth to young adults. Using in-depth knowledge and experience in pediatric primary health care, I will provide prevention and management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. I will also diagnose illnesses, prescribe medication, perform annual checkups, assist in surgeries, consult patients, and interact with their family members.
Skills Needed
As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner I will need to have good communication, listening, and decision-making skills. I will have to possess empathy, adaptability, flexibility, attention to detail, and compassion. Most importantly I will have to display industry knowledge of my job.
Education Required
I will attend college and achieve my Master's Degree. If wanted, I can later go back for my Doctoral Degree in order to advance in my career. I will also receive a degree from a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner program.
