Career PowerPoint
During my Personal Finance class, I created and researched this career. As part of the unit we reviewed personal values, skills, soft skills, and strengths. Click on the image above to download the PowerPoint to view more information about my career choice and the research that I found.
Cheer Captain
This past summer, I was selected to be cheer captain of our varsity cheerleading squad at Chestnut Ridge. As captain I have learned leadership and decision-making skills.
FBLA
In FBLA, I participated in competitions and workshops such as the State Leadership Conference at Kalahari Resorts. I also volunteered to help with the Bedford County Young at Heart Games for every May for the past two years.
National Honors Society
At the start of the school year, I received a letter stating I was eligible to become a member of the National Honor Society for Chestnut Ridge. After submitting my application, I was later accepted into the association. The National Honors Society has challenged me to be a better student and role model for the school. It has allowed me several opportunities to help and give back to others in my community. We participate in multiple activities throughout the year including making baby blankets for Children's Hospital.
Youth Leadership Summit
Last March, I was asked to attend a Youth Leadership Summit for Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Within the summit, I worked one on one with business leaders from all over Bedford County. The business leaders informed me of beneficial leadership skills and knowledge that I can continue to use in my everyday life.
