My mentor and I wanted to build the playground out of something sustainable. We agreed on using wood because it is natural, renewable, lightweight, and a strong building material with excellent insulating properties better than concrete.
I want to thank Mr. Troy for the amazing advices, recommendations, and the time for meeting with Mr. Nick and I. Mr. Troy is the principal at Chiang Rai International Christian School, at their school they have built an amazing playground that is mostly made out of wood. Because we wanted to use wood as our main material, CRICS's playground is our inspiration for our project outline.
This is the rough draft and what we are aiming for depending on how much donation we get.
This is the rough draft for the hangout area for the kids to hangout at.
