Goal: To acknowledge that everyone has different interests, passions, and curiosities, learning can occur in a variety of ways, and that we are always learning from those around us.
What is the K-5 Learning Fair? A showcase for students to share their passions, innovativeness, and risk-taking in an evening event for the Cresskill Community.
Who can participate? The K-5 Learning Fair is open to any K-5 students and mandatory for all SOAR21 students.
As a part of the Learning Fair, students will…
Engage in the inquiry process of asking, researching, designing, creating, and reflecting through monthly videos.
Work on their ideas and project independently at home.
Present and pass along their knowledge to others.
In the duration of the program, students flow through a series of steps that have been derived from a variety of learning/creating processes, such as the design thinking process, the inquiry process, the engineering design process, the writing process, and the scientific method process.
