FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do we manage food in the building? Students must bring a packed lunch with them each day. At this time we do not have an option for lunch ordering and food deliveries are not accepted. Please note that glass bottles and containers are not allowed in the building. No food/drink to be consumed in building at any time/location other than lunch. Of great importance, absolutely no gum or candy are allowed at any time.
Are food or other item drop-offs permitted? No lunch deliveries or drop-offs are allowed.
Is there a change to our extracurricular schedules? All extracurricular activities will continue to take place in Cresskill. No activities will take place after school in the Chodae-Mosaic building.
How can students receive extra help with teachers? Teachers are available 2:02-2:45pm for extra help beginning Wednesday, March 2nd and can also schedule other times with students either in person or remotely as needed. There is no late bus at 2:45pm so students would need to arrange for their own rides. Teachers will also work with students individually to arrange alternate opportunities for extra help. How do I know where my classes are located each period? Class locations have been updated in the Genesis portal, and classroom maps will be posted within the building. Administration and staff will be available throughout the day to answer class location questions as needed.
Will students have lockers? No, students will be not have lockers for use. Students will carry their belongings with them during the school day in a similar manner to the St. Therese school building.
What are the expectations for Physical Education? Students will be participating in PE while at the Chodae Mosaic building. Outdoor space has been designated for PE class and students are expected to come to school each day dressed appropriately for PE (ex: non-restrictive clothing and appropriate footwear must be worn daily). Locker rooms will not be available for students to change their clothing.
Is there student parking? Yes, 11th and 12th graders can obtain parking permits and should review details that Mr. Quinn, Dean of Students, has already posted to the grade level Google Classrooms.
Do students have open campus privileges? Yes, 11th and 12th graders have the following open campus privileges:
12th grade- lunch and study hall
11th grade- lunch only
Is there coordination of in-person tests and other assignments organized by subject? Yes, please see this link for the updated Weekly Assessment Schedule while we are at the Chodae building. Update 3/4/22- With this shift to Monday's as remote learning, we are currently not using this schedule. We will monitor how this progresses and implement an updated system if the need arises.
