Teachers involved with in-person instruction days may not be available to teach remote instruction grades & will instead provide asynchronous instruction
Physical Education/Health/Driver Education classes will all be conducted asynchronously; students will report to the gym area during their scheduled PE/Health/Driver Education class period for a quiet study period. Physical education teachers are currently working daily at the Recreation Center/Bryan School/Merritt School with our special education programs.
Orientation programs for students will be conducted in-person during the afternoons 11/8/21-11/11/21 (more calendar information below)
Grade level meetings on 11/8/21-11/11/21 minimum days will be conducted during each grade's scheduled lunch period in the gym.
Lunch procedures - beginning on 11/12/21, students in grades 6-9 will be asked to bring a brown bag lunch; students in grades 10-12 will be permitted to leave campus to purchase lunch or bring a brown bag lunch with them each day.
School administration is working with the Home & School Association (HSA) & the Korean Parents Association (KPA) to evaluate the possibility of organized lunch orders. Further information will follow as this potentially develops.
Item Drop-Off- The following procedures and expectations for student item drop-offs during the school day:
No lunch deliveries or drop-offs are allowed
Occasional emergency drop-off of essential items may be accommodated by the main office staff.
Excessive use of the emergency drop-off procedures will be addressed by administration if necessary.
Please note that glass bottles and containers are not allowed in the building
The weekly assessment schedule remains in effect. Teachers will not use the minimum days on 11/8/21-11/11/21 for quizzes/tests. See this link to view the schedule.
Students bringing band instruments to school can drop them off at the stage area in the gym upon arrival in the morning.
Study Halls
Senior students have open campus privileges during study hall, including asynchronous Physical education/health class study hall.
All students grades 9-12 who have a period 1 study hall do not need to report to school until period 2.
Students in study hall (in the gymnasium) will have the option to go outside to the staff-supervised upper parking lot for movement, exercise, and fresh air when the weather permits.
Students are encouraged to bring headphones for the quiet study hall period, as other classes may be using areas of the gym for in-person instruction.
