Our Work

Our work is all about the students in New Mexico. Research shows that structured literacy is the best way to teach and support all students. Since our initiative began, the schools we work with have grown each year. On the graph below, they started at 19% proficiency in 2022 and at the end of 2025 had grown to 33% proficiency. The initiative includes over 1400 teachers across the state of New Mexico.

We still have work to do but the achievement of our Model and Support Schools is undeniable.
