Cathy Hardin Harrison - Candidate for Secretary of State
Cathy Hardin Harrison is the County Judge of Miller County and a Republican candidate for Arkansas Secretary of State in the 2026 election. She was first elected judge in 2018 after serving as the county’s tax collector and is the first woman to hold the position. Harrison points to her local government experience—managing budgets, securing grants, and overseeing a county solar project—as proof she can handle statewide responsibilities. Her campaign focuses on election security, fiscal management, and improving how the Secretary of State’s office serves businesses. She lives in the Texarkana area with her husband, Robert “Bob” Harrison, a retired police chief. No major endorsements or fundraising totals have been reported as of late 2025.
"
I believe in using common sense, business strategies and leading by example through
excellence. I commend the hard work started by Secretary Mark Martin, Secretary John Thurston and
Secretary Cole Jester. I want to continue to strengthen the Secretary of State’s office and help to attract
business to Arkansas. I look forward to working with Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the other
leadership for a brighter future for all Arkansans. I am committed to conservative values, excellence and progress for our great state. ~ Cathy Hardin Harrison
