Frequently Asked Questions

MEAL PLANS

How do I buy a Food Plan?

All residential students are placed on Food Plan A automatically as the default Food Plan each semester. If you wish to remain on Food Plan A, no action is required. You will have it each semester until you graduate.

Can I change my Food Plan?

Yes, students have the first 10 days of each semester to change to Food Plan B or C if they wish.

Can I download my Food Plan to my mobile device?

Yes, click on this link Food Plans. This will give you access to your meal plan balances. Students and Staff can sign in with your Wooster email address and your 7 digit ID number. Parents can deposit funds into a student's Food Plan account by signing in as a parent and entering the student ID number and last name.

Can I put additional Flex dollars on my Food Plan if I run low?

Yes, you can just follow the instructions on your App.  You can also add a “guest” to your account who can add Flex dollars, but cannot see your account details.

How do I use my Food Plan?

Your Food Plan is loaded onto your student ID Card. Swipe or tap your card at the cashier station to provide payment. You can use your Food Plan at every Wooster Campus Dining location:   Lowry Dining Hall, Mom's late night in Lowry, MacLeod's Convenience Store, Knowlton Café in Ruth Williams Hall, and Old Main Café in Kauke Hall. You can use meal swipes or Flex at Lowry Dining Hall. MacLeod's Convenience Store only accepts Flex and cash or credit/debit cards. Old Main Cafe and Knowlton Science Cafe accept Food Plans and Flex but you may only use 1 meal swipe per transaction. Any remaining balance after $8 must be paid using Flex or cash/credit/debit card.

What does the "weekly meal swipe reset" mean?

Each Saturday after midnight, your Food Plan swipe balance will reset to the amount available each week. For example, if you are on food Plan A with 15 swipes per week, your balance will reset to 15 for the next week. Meal swipes do not carry over from week to week. If you run out of meal swipes before Saturday Night, you can use Flex Dollars to purchase food at all Campus Dining Locations.

How does the Green2Go Container Program work?

Use 1 meal swipe or $8 Flex to purchase a Green2Go Container at the Lowry Dining Hall cashier. Then, use a meal swipe to fill the container with food from Lowry Dining Hall. After use, exchange the dirty container for a new clean container or a green carabiner as a placeholder for next time.

Can I eat a meal and take a to-go meal with the same meal swipe in Lowry Dining Hall?

No, you must swipe a second time to pay for the to-go meal.

What if I have mulitple allergies or specific food preferences?

First, we would like to introduce "The Zone", an allergen friendly food area dedicated to preparing meals void of the top 9 Allergens (wheat, milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nut, shellfish, fish, and sesame).  Also, every station will identify the top 9 allergens in the dishes being served. We also will be identifing Halal, Vegan, and Vegetarian items with specific icons. Feel free to contact Marjorie Shamp if you need additional information.
