Hello! I'm Mariah Hergott, the owner and therapist for Creative Care Counseling.
I have been a therapist since 2016 and I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).

Norfolk has always been home to me; I was born and raised here. I left for a bit to complete my educational degrees at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, obtaining both a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After obtaining my degrees and returning to Norfolk in 2016, I began working with a non-profit organization in our area, eventually becoming a director of the very program I began as a intern in. In early 2022, I made a big change and opened up Creative Care Counseling, officially taking new clients later in that year.

Therapy is a true joy to me. Not many of us get to wake up for a job each day and truly love what they do and for that, I consider myself very lucky. I love helping people achieve the changes they are wanting in their life. Whether that includes reaching specific goals, overcoming past traumas, improving self-esteem, communicating better with loved ones, getting and staying sober... the list is endless. I can't wait to meet my next client and be in their corner like I have been for so many other clients.
