ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters:

Coreen Gruppuso

Coreen Gruppuso was born and raised in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, attending the Lindsay CRC. She studied at George Brown College, graduating from the ASL-English Interpreter program. She has been working as a freelance ASL interpreter around the Greater Toronto Area, specializing in medical settings & community services. She currently lives in Brampton with her husband and dog. They attend North Bramalea United Church.

Taigen Smart-Blake

Taigen Smart-Blake has been an American Sign Language interpreter for two years but a Christian her whole life. She is excited and humbled that God has allowed her the opportunity to work in a field that introduces her to new people everyday and allows them to communicate in ways they would not have been able to previously.

Korean and Spanish Interpreters:

Chris Choe - Korean Interpretation

Pastor Chris Choe was born into a devout Christian family in Busan Young-do, South Korea. He developed his financial background working in the banking industry for about 10 years and received a calling to be God's servant. Pastor Choe completed theology at Fuller Seminary and received a Doctor of Ministry at Azusa Seminary. During his tenure, he served for about 18 years in Korean ministries through preaching; teaching; missions; and other facets of ministry such as interpreting sermons andlectures, as well as counseling associates and church members.

Fredy Aviles - Spanish Interpretation

Rev. Dr. Fredy Aviles was born in Isabela, Puerto Ric,o where he spent his childhood years; and at the age of 13 with his parents he emigrated to the United States of America. He grew up in a home with biblical and grounded knowledge in Christianity. Graduating high school in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he joined the Bible College based in New York, where he earned his associate degree in ministerial affairs. Next, he joined the Ministry Theological Center in Massachusetts, where he earned a bachelor’s in ministry. After that, he earned his Master of Religious Education degree from the Eastern Baptist Seminary in Philadelphia. He continued his studies earning his doctorate in philosophy, apologetics, and theology at Liberty University in Virginia.

Currently Pastor Fredy Aviles and his wife, Yolanda, are the founders and pastors of Centro de Vida RCA in the city of West Palm Beach, Florida, covering churches in Central and South America and the United States. He is also a mentor, teacher, writer and broadcaster. Pastor Fredy is an ordained minister in the RCA, a member of the executive team of Classis de las Naciones leading the leadership development team, and the director of Church Ministry for the RCA.
