The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) is the institutional mechanism mandated by the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710) that ensures the effective, coordinated, and sustained implementation of gender mainstreaming initiatives within government agencies, including the Philippine Science High School System.
The PSHS-Caraga in Butuan City GFPS leads the integration of gender perspectives into policies, programs, and campus culture. It ensures that gender equality and sensitivity are practiced in education, research, and community engagement.
Formulate and monitor the campus GAD Plan and Budget (GPB).
Conduct gender sensitivity and awareness trainings.
Oversee the implementation of Safe Spaces and Anti-Sexual Harassment policies.
Collect and analyze sex-disaggregated data for planning and evaluation.
Partner with local and regional GAD councils and other stakeholders.
