Hey there, scholars and families! I’m Miss Harris, and I’m so excited to welcome you to a year filled with learning, growing, and lots of fun memories. This is my 12th year teaching, and every year feels like a new adventure!

I was born in sunny San Diego, California, but I grew up right here in Eastern North Carolina. Being part of a huge family taught me the joy of sharing, celebrating, and always looking out for one another. Fun fact: I have 12 amazing nieces and nephews who keep me on my toes and fill my heart with joy!

When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me curled up with a good book or planning my next travel adventure. I love celebrating every milestone, big or small, whether it’s a classroom success or a family gathering filled with laughter, good food, and a whole lot of dancing.

I’m also currently working on my Master’s in Library Science at UNCG because I believe books can take us anywhere we want to go!

This classroom is our home away from home, a place where we’ll explore, imagine, and build each other up. Get ready for an amazing year where we’ll celebrate every win and support each other like family.
