About the Library

The VLUS Learning Commons is on the 2nd floor of the Kennedy-Longfellow/Vassal Lane Upper School building. There, Ms. Riley works with students individually, in small groups or with classes to:

• foster a love of reading and life-long learning,

• assist students and staff with locating and accessing appropriate resources to support student success,

• provide students with tools and experiences to help them become critical thinkers and ethical users of information,

• stimulate creative thinking, intellectual curiosity & high aspirations, and

• provide students with a safe, comfortable resource -rich environment with up-to-date technologies for scholarly research, quiet study & recreational reading.
