Spaces
THE MAIN SPACE
The Main Presentation Space is in the center of our “open access” facility. TRC/CRLS professional life continues on the periphery of this meeting space; this is not a conference room. Many departments successfully conduct their day-long professional learning events in this space with TRC activities going around them but if you are looking for a private space, please consider booking the TRC Edulab instead.
Details:
Seating & Tables for 30; can seat 40 upon request
The presentation space contains an ENO board, Samsung document camera, Windows 10 PC desktop, easel, table seating for 25-30 and can accommodate groups of 40 if not all participants need table space.
If you plan to present with your laptop, please bring your own dongle. The TRC strives to have a dongle for most CPS issued devices but cannot accommodate all laptops/devices.
Please note: TRC staff is not always available to assist with tech set up after 3:15 pm.
If you have any questions about technology “infrastructure” or staff support, please email Mac Maclean.
THE EDULAB
The TRC Educator Lab has flexible, modular table seating for 35. This space is best used for professional learning activities including as a breakout room, and educator meetings/events requiring confidentiality.
Details:
While the room does have doors you can close, please be aware there is an ICTS member’s office at the back of the lab and TRC staff will occasionally have to enter to retrieve equipment from back rooms. The TRC staff maintains confidentiality.
The Edulab contains an ENO board, iMac presentation station, and easel.
If you plan to present with your laptop, please bring your own dongle.
Please note: TRC staff is not always available to assist with tech set up after 3:15 pm.
If you have any questions about technology “infrastructure” or staff support, please email Mac Maclean.
THE STUDIO
The Studio is a smaller,“open access” meeting space adjacent to the TRC main space, R3501. The studio has U shaped seating for 15 facing a projector, an iMac presentation station and iMacs and chairs on the periphery of the U. This space is best for small meetings, presentations, discussions/planning sessions, or a breakout room.
Details:
Table seating for 15 facing screen, additional chairs/tables on the periphery to seat 20
Other educators may be using the color printers, making posters, obtaining equipment quietly on the periphery of this meeting space during the day but there will be less traffic after 3:15 pm. If you are looking for a confidential space--that has doors you can close--please consider booking the EduLab (see below)
If you are looking for a small space to work with students, please book this space. We rarely book whole classes in any TRC spaces.
If you plan to present with your laptop, please bring your own dongle.
Please note: TRC staff is not always available to assist with tech set up after 3:15 pm.
