Membership in the National Honor Society is both an honor and a responsibility. Students selected for membership are expected to continue to demonstrate the qualities of SCHOLARSHIP, SERVICE, LEADERSHIP, and CHARACTER that were the basis for their selection. 

Any student who falls short in any of these pillars, for example, violates school rules, has excessive absences (AV or NC), falls below the required GPA, or does not complete the required community service hours, will be placed on Warning. 

Submitting Community Service Hours

• Starting with the Class of 2027, we will NO LONGER be accepting 10 hours of community service from non-NHS sanctioned events

  • Previously, members were allowed to collect their 10 hours of community service through unverified, external organizations. 

  • We are shifting to this model to ensure that members are active participants in the CRLS community rather than passive participants in our organization.

• 10 Hours of Community Service/Semester must be obtained from only NHS-sanctioned events

  • NHS-sanctioned events will include NHS Service Projects led by the NHS Student Leadership and specifically designated CRLS events.
