The King School artists can now show off their artwork in a user-friendly forum online at Padlet.com. Mx. Engel will approve all uploads for appropriate content - all media welcome, just use the "+" button in the lower right corner to start uploading your work!
Check out my first art activity video about making Cave Art at home - complete with somewhat special effects!
More videos will be posted with other art activities you can do at home with only a few supplies. Stay tuned!
TREASURE MAP!
Any age student can make a treasure map! Older students can add more details and maybe even build a treasure box...think about taking your treasure hunt outside for added fresh air and found objects along the way :)
OVERLAPPING!
Art Activities with Mx. Engel! Grab some coloring tools (crayons/markers/colored pencils), paper and a few randomly shaped objects to make this simple artwork.
NORTHERN LIGHTS!
An art activity you can do inspired by the Northern Lights. All you'll need is paper, chalk and a piece of thicker paper like card stock or a piece of cereal box!
NATURE MANDALA!
An outside art activity you can do inspired by the artist, Andy Goldsworthy. All you'll need is an adult and a bag to collect items in. Come along outside with me as we make a nature mandala together!
ACTION PAINTING!
Make an action painting! During this time of change, lots of feelings can arise - let art-making help get some of those feelings out!
TORN PAPER ART!
You'll only need paper and glue to complete these two projects! A third project for grades 3-5 can be found in a separate video. All projects can be made by any grade level!
LEAF RUBBINGS!
Before the snow falls - go outside and grab some leaves to create colorful leaf rubbings! Choose any size or shape leaf - just make sure it's not crunchy.
COLORING MIX in the ART LAB!
If you'd like you try this you'll need food coloring, a splash of milk, 6 containers, and something to stir the liquid with. You can also totally dress up as a "mad art scientist"! :)
