Emily Bryan (she/her) is the Director of ELA/Literacy for Cambridge Public Schools. In partnership with instructional coaches, interventionists, educators and administrators, Emily develops and leads data-informed, district-wide initiatives to continuously improve and align curriculum, instruction and professional learning to research-based, culturally responsive practices. She believes that school communities (families, students, staff and partners) have incredible power and potential, and that all students can and must achieve at high levels. Prior to joining CPS in 2022, Emily served as an elementary principal and middle school teacher in Boston Public Schools. Emily is the proud mother of two boys, a dog, and two fish. She enjoys spending time with her family and creating videos, art and music. Emily can be reached at: ebryan@cpsd.us

Outside of work, Jenn has a love for the beach, cooking for any gameday, and attending concerts. She has a strong interest in personal storytelling and authenticity in literature, therefore prefers to listen to memoirs read by the author and reads historical fiction novels.
