Policies

The CRLS Library strives to create a safe, clean, and welcoming space for all students and staff.

Using the Library

In order to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming space for all, we ask that students and staff abide by the following rules:

Library Passes

  • Students who come to the library during class must have their student ID card and an official CRLS Hall Pass from their classroom teacher or Learning Community. Library visits during class are limited to 10 minutes unless previously arranged between the classroom and library teachers.

  • Students may come to the library without a pass during lunch and after school.

  • Students are required to sign in at the library during school hours and after school.

  • Substitute teachers are not permitted to send students to the library with a pass, unless previously arranged between the classroom and library teachers.

  • Teachers may send up to 4 students at a time to the library with an official library pass. If a teacher needs to send more than four students, they must first call ahead to ensure that there is space available (ext. 6781).

Eating in the Library

  • Eating in the Library is not allowed at this time due to COVID safety protocols.

Printing, Copying, and Scanning in the Library

  • Students may print any school work in black and white (Ricoh) or color.

  • Students may use Ricoh to scan or photocopy any school work. Please check with the library staff before making copies for personal use or school clubs.

  • Teachers are kindly asked to use the Print Center or Teacher Resource Center (TRC) for all printing, copying, and scanning.

Reserving Library Space

  • Students and staff may reserve space in the library for classes, clubs, and collaborative activities using the library's online calendar.
