At the Amigos School, the dual language model means teaching language proficiency, literacy, and content in English and Spanish. Our ongoing goal has been to build a strong and sustainable bridge for biliteracy. The translanguaging current runs under the bridge and allows for the flow and use of students' full linguistic repertoire.

We are committed to a curriculum that includes deep engagement in lively conversation, problem-solving strategies, challenging texts, and multi-modal projects in language Arts, science, math, and social studies.

En la Escuela Amigos, el modelo de dualidad lingüística se enfoca en fortalecer el dominio de idioma, la alfabetización y el contenido académico en inglés y español. Nuestra meta constante es de establecer un puente fuerte y sostenible para la bi-alfabetización. La corriente de translenguaje corre bajo el puente y permite el flujo del repertorio lingüístico completo de cada estudiante.
