This year we had 18 Haggerty students, from grades 4 and 5, read five or more of the 25 MCBA books. They voted along with students from around Massachusetts and the winner is, Crossover by Kwame Alexander.
At Haggerty, we had a three way tie for New Kid, Ban This Book and The Vanderbeekers.
We had 31 students vote for their favorite STEM book from the four titles selected by the Cook Prize committee at Bank Street School in NYC. In the next few days they will announce the nation wide winner!
