Falcon Frequency created an addition to the Cambridge Rindge and Latin media arts curriculum. Aiming to expose high school students to the opportunities and world of radio, we designed a unit that fits into the existing media arts class.
One of the most challenging parts of journalism is setting up a successful interview. Interviews are unpredictable. It may seem like it is on the other person to give you good quotes or sound bites, but there are ways for the interviewer to build a solid foundation for a successful conversation.
Check out the curriculum we made! One of our goals for Falcon Frequency was not only to make our content, but help people develop their own. We have firsthand experience getting into radio with little background knowledge, and we know how difficult it is to begin a project, especially with a specific creative vision. The curriculum was made with all of this in mind: a step-by-step and tailored to the challenges that we faced when we were starting our radio journey.
